Admitting the problem is half the battle and the first biggest step. We are in a drought. We have been in a drought for over 10 years. Our landscapes and tree canopies are stressed and changing, and we must change with it. This webinar will review basic plant health needs as it relates to water and nutrients. It will also review what pests and disease to look for in drought stressed trees. We will then look at drought solutions and IPM programs for pests and diseases.

Dawn Fluharty

Dawn Fluharty currently serves as a Regional Technical Manager for Arborjet, of Woburn, MA, an ISA national member. In her current role, Dawn provides training and support to arborists, foresters, municipalities and industry leaders, who are evaluating treatment options for tree pests & diseases across the northwestern United States.
Dawn has enjoyed 17 years in the green industry including; sales and sales management, horticultural education and training and operations management.
She has her PCA (Pest Control Advisor) license and is a member of CAPCA (California Association of Pest Control Advisors) and the Western Chapter of the International Society of Arboriculture. She also holds her QAL and continuously supports PAPA (Pesticide Applicators Professional Association) as a board member. Dawn is also a board member for Street Tree Seminars and has recently been appointed to the Bay Area Urban Forest Ecosystems Council Board. She is also a member of the Pacific Northwest Chapter of the International Society of Arboriculture, OAN (Oregon Association of Nurseries.) and is a member of the Arbor Day Foundation.
She has a degree in Environmental Horticultural Sciences with a minor in Soil Science from California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo.
